Concept for game
The game I propose to create is one that is primarily centered around the exploration of a sidescrolling environment, which itself is very interactive. The foes are more puzzles than simple attack combinations, and the environment is your key to defeating them. To travel across the setting of ancient china, you learn how to craft items using bamboo poles that you can chop down, and players can create their own structures that they use to build bridges, catapult themselves, or to lift obstacles from their path. Many colourful characters will be introduced as the game progresses, and they will give you help in exploring your environment and finding the weaknesses in your foes. The storyline is of a panda who has lived in the wild for many years, after retiring as one of the greatest warriors in the land. He is torn from his life as a hermit when a demonic monkey assaults him, and he chases it into what he discovers is a war ravaged town, under attack from demonic forces. With the help of the villagers, he stands up to the demons, and unwittingly signs up as their savior. At first he fights to simply get back to his nap, but soon the friends he makes and the world he witnesses renew his spirit, and he returns to his glory as a proud warrior.
